Bring on the Big Show!
The weather held out for us, despite what the weatherman predicted, and another great day was had by all at the Windy City Cup.
A lot of great matches were played,
but the only "upset" of the day came at the very end, when Yves Archambault and Dominic O'Brien edged out Cory Current and Scot Hansen to make it to semi-finals.
We're looking at PT Lovern and Jeremy Mirken taking on Yves and
Dom on one side of the bracket, while Martin Cote and Tuan Vu look to oust Ben Alston and Walt Houston for the right to fight for the Cup.
In singles action, Martin Cote will face Ben Alston for the crown. Full results will be posted within the next day or two, depending on how well I survive the workload that lies ahead of us today.
And let's not forget about our intermediates!! Jack Lentz and Anthony Ritz took 1st place amongst 5 teams. Seven of the 10 players are competing in their first-ever footbag event. Hopefully it's the first of many to come, especially for these guys, the future of the Chicago Lake Coast Kickers...
